HERE I AM, ALL SET TO D/L THIS FUCKING SHOW.

AND IT'S A FUCKING .MKV FILE. WHICH APPARENTLY, NO MATTER WHAT THE HELL I DO, DOES NOT PLAY ON MY MAC.

VLC player is a whore and won't play it without being like, "LOLERR0RZ" and MPlayer won't even SHOW IT ON THE SCREEN.

And DivX? Nope. It tells me it's UNSUPPORTED.

Does anyone have this show in a filetype that DOESN'T suck? Please? I was all hyped up about it and NOW I AM ALL PISSED OFF.

:O I use zoomplayer to play MKVs. It has some codecs that interfere with your DivX player--and at first I would always uninstall zoomplayer after I was done using it, but now I really really like it xD or BSPlayer, but I really only use that if I'm taking screen caps

ah, that's weird :/ but what swirling_chaos said, VLC does work with MKVs. pretty much DivX has codecs that interfere with all the other things xDD;;;

From what I looked up it said that VLC supports it, so maybe your codecs are interfering with one another? Try uninstalling EVERYTHING you have and then doing a clean re-install of VLC, and see if that works.
